Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Plait Pilates LLC (“Plait,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of www.plaitpilates.com (the “Site”), our services, and your participation in any classes, memberships, purchases, bookings, or studio activities.

By accessing the Site, booking classes, purchasing memberships, or using our services, you agree to these Terms.

  1. ELIGIBILITY

    • You must be at least eighteen (18) years old to book classes independently. Individuals under 18 may participate only with written parental or legal guardian consent.

  2. SERVICES

    • Class bookings

    • Memberships

    • Class packs

    • Waitlists

    • Gift cards

    • Merchandise

    • Newsletter subscriptions

    • SMS marketing

    • Referral programs

    • Bookings and payments are processed through an integrated widget powered by Mariana Tek and Stripe.

  3. PURCHASES

    • Plait offers various classes, memberships, class packs, merchandise, and gift cards as listed on the Site. All pricing, product descriptions, and availability are subject to change at any time without notice.

    • Applicable fees are disclosed at the time of purchase and may be updated from time to time.

    • All purchases are subject to these Terms and any additional policies disclosed at checkout.

  4. CLASS PACKS

    • Class packs:

      1. Are non-transferable

      2. Are non-refundable

      3. Expire six (6) months after purchase

    • Unused classes are forfeited after expiration.

  5. UNLIMITED MEMBERSHIP

    • Unlimited memberships:

      1. Renew automatically every thirty (30) days

      2. Require fourteen (14) days written notice to cancel

      3. Are non-transferable

      4. Are non-refundable

    • Memberships may be paused for up to fourteen (14) days once every six (6) month period.

  6. CANCELLATIONS AND NO-SHOWS

    • Classes must be canceled at least eight (8) hours before the scheduled class start time.

    • Late cancellations:

      • Class pack holders forfeit one class credit

      • Unlimited members are charged a late cancellation fee

    • No-shows:

      • Class pack holders forfeit one class credit

      • Unlimited members are charged a no-show fee

  7. WAITLISTS

    • By joining a waitlist, you acknowledge and agree that you may be automatically enrolled in class if a spot becomes available. Once enrolled, standard cancellation policies apply.

  8. GIFT CARDS

    • Gift cards:

      1. Are transferable

      2. Are non-refundable

      3. Are valid for nine (9) years from date of purchase unless otherwise required by law

  9. MERCHANDISE

    • All merchandise purchases are final sale.

  10. Program Description
    By opting in, you agree to receive recurring automated text messages from us at the mobile number you provided. Messages may include [appointment reminders, order updates, account alerts, promotional offers, customer support follow-ups, etc. — customize to your actual use case]. Consent to receive these messages is not a condition of any purchase.

  11. Message Frequency
    You may receive up to 5 messages per week Message frequency may vary depending on your activity and interactions with us.

  12. Message and Data Rates
    Message and data rates may apply. Charges are billed by and payable to your mobile service provider. Please contact your wireless carrier for details about your messaging plan.

  13. How to Opt Out and Get Help
    You can unsubscribe the SMS service at any time by replying STOP to any message we send you. After you send STOP, you will receive a one-time confirmation message, and no further messages will be sent. If you want to rejoin, you can sign up again using the original opt-in method or reply START. For help or more information at any time, reply HELP to any of our messages. You can also contact our support team directly at hello@plaitpilates.com.

  14. Carrier Liability Disclaimer
    Carriers are not liable for any delayed or undelivered messages.

  15. STUDIO ETIQUETTE

    • Clients agree to:

      1. Arrive on time

      2. Check in and be physically present at least five (5) minutes before class start time, or their reservation may be released to a waitlisted client

      3. New clients are encouraged to arrive at least ten (10) minutes early

      4. Wear grip socks for all classes

      5. Respect instructors and fellow clients

      6. Follow all instructor guidance

      7. Silence mobile devices

      8. Maintain a safe and respectful environment

    • Late entry may be denied at Plait’s discretion.

    • Instructors and class schedules are subject to change without notice.

    • Plait reserves the right to refuse service, remove clients from class, or terminate memberships at its discretion for safety concerns, misconduct, or violations of studio policies.

  16. HEALTH AND SAFETY

    • Clients are solely responsible for determining whether they are physically capable of participating in any class or activity.

    • Clients agree to promptly notify instructors of any injuries, illnesses, pregnancy, or physical limitations prior to participation.

    • Pregnant clients and clients with injuries or medical conditions should consult a physician prior to participation.

    • Participation in classes is subject to the separate Liability Waiver and Release executed by each client.

  17. PERSONAL BELONGINGS

    • Plait Pilates LLC is not responsible for the safekeeping, loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings brought into the studio. Clients assume all risk related to personal property while on the premises.

  18. MEDIA

    • Plait may photograph or record classes and studio activities for marketing and promotional purposes. Clients may opt out by written notice.

  19. DISCLAIMER

    • All services and content are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

  20. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

    • To the fullest extent permitted by law, Plait Pilates LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to the use of our services.

  21. DISPUTE RESOLUTION

    • Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be resolved exclusively through binding arbitration in Queens County, New York, in accordance with applicable arbitration rules.

  22. GOVERNING LAW

    • These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York.

  23. CHANGES TO TERMS

    • Plait reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Site or services constitutes acceptance of any revised Terms.
